Boards
Boards are flat sheet materials widely used in construction, furniture manufacturing, interior design, signage, and industrial applications. They are manufactured from different raw materials such as wood fibers, timber veneers, plastics, resins, or metal composites, depending on the intended use. Boards are designed to provide strength, stability, durability, and ease of fabrication while maintaining cost efficiency.
Wood-based boards such as plywood, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), and particle board are commonly used in furniture and interior works. Plywood is made by bonding multiple layers of wood veneers together with alternating grain directions, which increases strength and resistance to cracking. MDF is manufactured from fine wood fibers compressed with resin, giving it a smooth and uniform surface ideal for painting and laminating. Particle board is made from wood chips and adhesive, offering an economical option for lightweight furniture and cabinetry.
Plastic-based boards such as PVC and HDPE are known for their waterproof, termite-resistant, and corrosion-resistant properties. These boards are widely used in kitchen cabinets, advertising panels, industrial components, and areas exposed to moisture. Aluminum Composite Panels (ACP) combine aluminum sheets with a core material, providing a lightweight yet strong solution for exterior cladding and signage.
Boards are available in various thicknesses, sizes, grades, and finishes to suit different requirements. Some are designed for structural strength, while others focus on decorative appeal or resistance to environmental conditions. The selection of a board depends on factors such as load-bearing capacity, moisture exposure, durability, finishing requirements, machining needs, and budget.
Description
BOARD MATERIALS
Premium Industrial Board Materials
Boards are flat sheet materials used in construction, furniture manufacturing, signage, interior design, and industrial applications. They are available in different materials such as wood-based boards (MDF, plywood), plastic boards (PVC, HDPE), and composite panels (ACP). Each type offers specific properties like strength, durability, moisture resistance, smooth surface finish, lightweight structure, and machinability.
TYPES OF BOARDS
MDF is a smooth and cost-effective wood board mainly used for furniture and interior decorative work. Plywood is stronger and more durable, suitable for construction and load-bearing applications. Acrylic boards are transparent plastic sheets used for signboards and display panels. PVC and ACP boards are waterproof and weather-resistant, making them ideal for outdoor and industrial use.
