Plywood

Plywood is a strong and versatile engineered wood panel made by bonding thin layers of wood veneers together under high pressure and heat. The veneers are arranged with alternating grain directions, which significantly increases strength, stability, and resistance to cracking or warping. This cross-layered construction makes plywood stronger than many other wood-based boards.

Plywood is widely used in furniture manufacturing, construction, interior decoration, partitions, cabinets, doors, and structural applications. It offers excellent load-bearing capacity and good screw-holding strength, making it suitable for heavy-duty use. Compared to MDF, plywood performs better in terms of durability and impact resistance.

There are different grades of plywood available, such as commercial plywood for general interior use, marine plywood for water-resistant applications, and structural plywood for construction purposes. It is also available in various thicknesses ranging from thin decorative sheets to thick heavy-duty panels.
